This data is collected to support the maintenance and management of WDC's stormwater network. This layer includes fields that classify, e.g., pump type, isolation rating, motor size etc.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>A Pump, in general terms, represents a group of asset types that can be categorised by the following definition – ‘A mechanical/ electrical device used to add pressure to a network component to aid in the transmission of water’.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Pumps can be used for a variety of purposes including:</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>- Extracting water from within the ground for the purpose of supplying potable water</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>- Removing accumulated water in a sewage or drainage system</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>- Enabling water to be transmitted through a water supply network</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Pump asset types include caustic soda dosing pump, caustic soda transfer pump, chlorine dosing pump, soda ash dosing pump, bore pump, wet well pump, sump pump and surface pump.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>Please refer to the 3 Waters Asset Information Metadata Standard Data Standard for further information.</SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;text-decoration:underline;">Update Frequency: </SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>Daily</SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;text-decoration:underline;">Point of Contact:</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>Waimakariri District Council</SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;text-decoration:underline;">Lineage:</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>Data has been compiled from a number of sources and its accuracy may vary (e.g. Field Verification, Deposited Plans, AsBuilt plans and forms, sketches, aerial photo, Google Street View).
