Published in the notification of the decisions made by the Regional Council on the Commissioners' recommendations to Proposed Plan Change 1 to </SPAN><SPAN>Regional Policy Statement regarding the Urban Development Strategy 19-Dec-2009</SPAN><SPAN>. </SPAN><SPAN>The Daiken NZ MDF Plant located in Ashley has 45 decibel contour that coincides with the heavy industrial zoning and the opposite property across Upper Sefton Road. The Rangiora Airfield has a 65 decibel noise contour that prohibits residential and noise sensitive activities and a 55 decibel that requires sound insulation for residential activities. The Woodford Glen Speedway has a speedway noise contour limiting residential activities inside the contour.
