The Coastal Marine Area Boundary (CMA) along the line of Mean High Water Springs (MHWS) and where it coincides with a river or stream, a distance of either one kilometre upstream from the mouth or a distance equivalent to five times the mouth of the river upstream.,</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 6 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>MHWS has not been surveyed on the Canterbury coast. Therefore, this indicative line cannot be used as a legally defined line due to the margin of error involved. In the event of any dispute as to the precise location of the line of MHWS Environment Canterbury undertakes to establish the line for that specific area.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;">Update Frequency:</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>As needed.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;">Point of Contact:</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Waimakariri District Council.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;">Lineage:</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>The areas in this Schedule are defined through the use of New Zealand Map Series grid references</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>delineating the boundaries of the relevant area within the Coastal Marine Area.
