Heritage Settings are defined by the Waimakariri District Plan as: “an entry in HH-SCHED2 - Historic Heritage Items which, with the associated historic heritage, has met the significance threshold for listing. A heritage setting is the area surrounding and adjacent to historic heritage that is integral to its function, meaning and relationships and may include individually listed historic heritage.
